This is an exciting time to join one of Northern Ireland’s best loved retailers as we are currently seeking a Buying Office Merchandiser to work in our fast-paced business where no two days are the same. We are keen to hear from Merchandisers with a proven record in maximising sales and profit, looking for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to diversity and build their experience.
This is a position tasked with increasing sales and profit potential and controlling stock. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Buying and Merchandising team in monitoring sales performance, identifying lines for promotion, repeats and risk assessment.
Producing weekly trading reports to summarise, analyse and identify key drivers; proposing any necessary trading action.
Review and forecast continuity lines on a regular basis.
Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Manage intake into the warehouse in conjunction with the buying team, warehouse and suppliers and the allocation of stock.
Identify, cost, and propose markdown activity
Influence trading decisions of the strength of sales using merchandising tools; monitor and update team weekly.
Work closely with the buying team to place in-season repeats and option planning for new seasons
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages (especially excel), with excellent attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills, with a logical and mathematical approach to problem solving
Be commercial and forward thinking, able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and reporting skills, the ability to work in a team and to build relationships at all levels
Previous merchandising experience desirable however confidence, drive and enthusiasm are a must!
